Abstract: Insulin resistance is a defect in insulin-mediated control of glucose metabolism in tissues including muscle，fat and liver，which is one of the earliest manifestations of a series of human diseases that include type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular disease. Periodontitis is an inflammatory and destructive disease resulted from plaque biofilm that involves periodontal supporting tissues. Recently，although the relationship among periodontitis，type 2 diabetes mellitus and cardiovascular disease has been established，the mechanism of their interaction is still not clear. This article mainly reviews the correlation between periodontitis and insulin resistance.

摘要： 胰岛素抵抗是指胰岛素介导的肌肉、脂肪及肝脏等组织中葡萄糖代谢控制的缺陷，是包括2型糖尿病和心血管疾病等一系列人类疾病的早期表现之一。牙周炎是由菌斑生物膜引起的累及牙周支持组织的炎症性、破坏性疾病。近年来，虽然牙周炎和2型糖尿病、心血管疾病之间的相互作用关系得到确定，但是其机制尚未完全明确。文章主要就牙周炎与胰岛素抵抗的相关性进行阐述。
