大数据时代甲状腺癌诊治思考

Abstract    With the advance in technologies capturing molecular and medical data, we entered the area of "Big Data" in biology and medicine. The data integration-based methods are not as same as the evidence-based ones. Recent advances to uncover personalized information from big data produced by various omics studies make diagnosis and disease subtyping more precise and treatment more personalized. With big data, precision medicine comes to thyroidology, including thyroid carcinoma, and present an attractive prospect. Appropriate treatment would based on the biological characteristics of the tumor than its size

摘要:

生物医学已进入大数据时代,数据集成的概念带来不同于循证医学的分析方法。组学研究的发展可提供个体的大量信息,从而使疾病的诊断和分型更准确细致,治疗更具针对性。目前,对甲状腺癌尤其是微小癌治疗的争议根源在于对其分子分型认识不清,仅着眼于肿瘤大小而非生物学特性,唯有充分诊断,方可避免过度治疗或治疗不足。相信不久的将来,借助大数据,甲状腺癌的诊治亦可实现精准医疗的目标。
