Department of Hepatic Surgery, the First Affiliated Hospital of Harbin Medical University, Harbin 150001, China Corresponding author: JIANG Hong-chi, E-mail:jianghc@163.vip.com Abstract In just about twenty years, enhanced recovery after surgery(ERAS) has been paid much attention due to its multifaceted advantages. Various novel approaches and new techniques spring out continuously. However, there are many controversies that come along over ERAS’s specific items and over ERAS itself. Moreover, there still exist some obstacles preventing ERAS from being carried out successfully and based on Chinese situation, there are also some problems worthy of our serious thought. Nevertheless,the validity of ERAS which is a challenge to convention and an advanced surgery cancept is not compromised by these controversies and obstacies. Furthermore, to face these issues would prompt us to implement ERAS much better.

在短短的近20年的时间内,加速康复外科(enhanced recovery after surgery,ERAS)因其诸多优点而受到广泛关注。各种新方法和新技术不断涌现,但伴随而来的也有对这些具体措施以及ERAS本身的诸多争议;而且,目前ERAS的顺利开展也面临不小的障碍,结合我国国情也还存在一些需要认真思考的问题。然而,争议和障碍并不足以否定ERAS这一挑战常规的、先进的外科理念,直面这些问题将促使我们更好的实施和开展ERAS。
