根据科学技术的发展规律，胃肠外科专科化发展的条件已经基本具备。胃肠外科专科化有利于专业特色的形成，促进胃肠外科的进一步发展。专科化在降低医疗费用，提高医疗质量的同时，还有利于学科带头人的培养。胃肠外科专业化的发展并没有固定模式，应因地制宜，适合本单位的实际情况。胃肠外科专科化的同时，也应注意多学科团队的建设。胃肠外科专业化的不足之处，也应时刻加以注意和纠正。

Abstract    Based on the rules on the development of science and technology, the prerequisite conditions of foundation of gastrointestinal specialized surgery are matched. The specialization of gastrointestinal surgery will speed the progress, decrease the medical cost, improve the quality of medical care and accelerate the training of academic leader. There is not a changeless pattern of gastrointestinal surgery specialization, and the pattern should be tailored on the practical situations. During the process of specialization, multidisciplinary team should be carried at the same time. The shortcoming of gastrointestinal surgery specialization should be overcome during the process.
