Abstract:

Summary：Complete denture is relatively  difficult to master for prosthodontics. Clinical problems are prone to affect the restoration results. Inappropriate rehabilitation for edentulous patients can damage oral tissues and affect physiological function or even lead to repair failure. The main problems in complete dentuer are as follows：poor denture retention，bite pain，mucosal damage，dysphonia，nausea，cheek biting，biting tongue，etc. After wearing the denture for a period of time，there are some other problems：oral mucosal ulcers，chewing weakness，lingual polished，denture stomatitis，the vertical distance reduction，temporomandibular dysfunction（TMD）and so on. Prosthodontist should approach the causes of treatment in time to protect the oral tissues and to restore physiological function. In this paper，the author makes an introduction to the common cause and treatment of complete denture.
