Abstract:

Taking accurate impression is the key to completing denture fabrication. It has been shown that precise functional impression can be obtained with the help of custom tray and secondary impression technique. However，various methods of making custom tray as well as secondary impression have continuously emerged. This article explores the clinical fabrication process in detail and provides special preparation methods for patients with different conditions （flabby alveolar ridge，missing free end and small opening mouth） in order to provide effective clinical guidance.
