Abstract:

MicroRNAs are non-coding single-stranded small RNAs that mainly involve in post-transcriptional regulation. The changes of their expression profiles are closely related to the development of many diseases，such as cancer and chronic inflammation. This article reviews the origin of miRNA and the relationship between miRNA and several common diseases in oral cavity.

微小RNA（miRNA）是非编码单链小分子RNA，主要参与转录后调节过程，其表达谱的变化与诸多疾病（如癌症、慢性炎症等）的发生、发展密切相关。文章就miRNA的起源及其与口腔几种常见疾病的关系做一综述。
