Abstract:

Activin A belongs to the activin family，a major branch of the transforming growth factor-β（TGF-β） superfamily. Activin A is widely distributed and has diverse biological activities. It is related to the development and maintenance of various organs，and interact with stem cells. Recent researches have demonstrated that the dimeric glycoprotein is the basic medium in maintaining histiocytic function，and affects the development of many diseases.The abnormal expression of activin A is associated with several important clinicopathological factors and the prognosis，suggesting its potential as an indicator of many diseases. Activin A has a promising application prospect in the oral field，which is reviewed in this paper.

摘要：

激活素A属于激活素家族的一员，是转化生长因子-β（TGF-β）超家族成员中的一个分支。激活素A在体内分布广泛，具有多种生理活性。其对多种干细胞有重要作用，与器官的发育和维护相关。最近研究表明，这种二聚体糖蛋白是维持组织细胞功能的基本介质，影响着众多疾病的发生发展。异常的激活素A表达与许多重要的临床病理因素及患者的预后相关，表明其可能作为多种疾病预测指标。激活素A在口腔领域应用前景也十分广阔。现对其做一综述。
