YANG Guang-shun
Born on January 19, 1952
Graduated from the Second Military Medical University in 1988 with a Doctorate (Ph.D.) degree.
Currently serves as Director of the Second Department of Biliary Surgery at the Eastern Hepatobiliary Surgery Hospital, Second Military Medical University; Chief Physician; Professor; and Doctoral Supervisor.
Main specialty: Diagnosis and treatment of hepatobiliary tumors and liver transplantation.
Primary research focus: Clinical diagnosis and treatment of primary liver cancer, research on the recurrence mechanisms of primary liver cancer, and basic and clinical research on liver transplantation.
Major grants and research projects undertaken: Four projects including the Shanghai Development Fund Major Project "Research on Standardized Treatment Protocols for Liver Cancer" and grants from the National Natural Science Foundation of China.
Awards received: Shanghai Medical Science and Technology First Prize, Military Medical Achievement Second Prize, Shanghai Science and Technology Progress Second Prize, among others.
Concurrent positions: Chairman of the Hepatobiliary Surgery Professional Committee of the People's Liberation Army; Vice Leader of the Transplantation Group of the Surgery Branch of the Chinese Medical Association; Standing Council Member of the Shanghai Branch of the Chinese Medical Association; Vice Chairman of the General Surgery Branch of the Shanghai Medical Association, etc.
