Professor CHEN Gui-hua
Born on October 20, 1955

Professor Chen Gui-hua graduated from Sun Yat-sen University (formerly Sun Yat-sen University of Medical Sciences) in 1989, earning a Doctorate (Ph.D.).

He currently serves as President of The Third Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University, Professor, and Doctoral Supervisor.

His specialty and primary research focus are General Surgery, specifically the clinical and basic research of organ transplantation.

Major grants and research projects he has led include:
*   Key Clinical Discipline Program of the Ministry of Health: "Series of Studies on Improving Long-Term Survival Rates after Liver Transplantation"
*   National High-Tech R&D Program (863 Program): "Development of Nanomaterial Photocatalytic Air Purification Modules"
