Professor ZHAO Yu-pei
Born on July 2, 1954

Professor Zhao Yu-pei graduated from the Graduate School of Peking Union Medical College (PUMC) in 1987, earning a Master of Surgery (M.S.) degree.

He currently holds the positions of President of Peking Union Medical College Hospital, Chief Physician, Professor, and Doctoral Supervisor.

His primary specialty and research focus is Surgery (General Surgery), with a specific emphasis on the comprehensive diagnosis and treatment of pancreatic cancer.

As the principal investigator, he has led over ten national-level research projects, including grants from the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and key national programs such as the "Ninth Five-Year Plan," "Tenth Five-Year Plan," and "Eleventh Five-Year Plan" initiatives, with a total funding exceeding 16 million RMB.

His major awards include:
