Abstract    Postoperative adjuvant radiotherapy is one of the important multidisciplinary treatment for breast carcinoma, which can reduce the local recurrence rate and prolong the patients’ survival time. Implant-based breast reconstruction is one of the most common methods of breast reconstruction, which significantly improves the appearance satisfaction and quality of life of patients after mastectomy. Since radiotherapy is a risk factor of postoperative complications after reconstruction, the plan of implant-based breast reconstruction for patients planning radiotherapy possibly after mastectomy should be carefully designed, and many factors such as tumor load, postoperative treatment planning, multidisciplinary cooperation ability, patients’ willingness, economic position and other factors should be considered comprehensively,and surgeon should inform patients the potential risk of surgery
