Abstract    Isolated superior mesenteric artery dissection (ISMAD) is a clinically rare disease. The harmfulness of ISMAD mainly includes acute catastrophic bowel ischemia or aneurismal superior mesenteric artery (SMA) rupture. Though a variety of treatment options including conservative management，anticoagulation，open surgical repair and endovascular stenting (ES) have been used for ISMAD，there is no consensus as to an appropriate treatment strategy.
