Abstract About 75% of duodenal diverticulas are located near papilla, which are also named as juxtapapillary duodenal diverticula (JPDD). For patients with symptoms complicated with pancreatobiliary disorder or not response to medical treatment,it is necessary to perform surgical intervention. Operative indication of JPDD should be chosen strictly. Surgical methods mainly depend on clinical manifestation and location of JPDD. Considering high risk for JPDD resection,it is more safe and effective to perform bile and/or food by-pass operations sometimes.
