Abstract Soft tissue tumor originated from mesenchymal is a large class of heterogeneous tumor. Soft tissue tumors have complexity histology ingredients and diversity. Most soft tissue tumors are benign. Soft tissue sarcomas are rare. They have a poor prognosis and a high recurrence rate. Ultrasound, PET-CT, X-ray film, DSA, CT and MRI are commonly used as evaluation methods. MRI is the preferred imaging method of soft tissue tumors. Combining MRI and the methods mentioned above, tumor characteristics and invasion into surrounding tissues can be displayed completely. The location and type of mass can be made, and the grade and stage of tumor can be advised, which facilitate the program of clinical treatment and the choice of surgical scheme, and provide the basis of effective clinical treatment prospectively.
