Abstract Perioperative use of antibiotics is one of many important components of perioperative disposal. Certain antibiotics have influences on the coagulation function of some patients. The influence is mainly caused by the deficiency in vitamin K synthesis. Patients with hepatic failure, renal failure, malnutrition and cancer are more vulnerable. Furthermore, antibiotics can interact with anticoagulants such as warfarin and lead to bleeding events. So when using antibiotics during the perioperative period, clinicians should grasp the drug indications, evaluate the basic conditions of patients, notice the interactions of drugs, and pay close attention to the change of coagulation indicators.
