Abstract Upper digestive tract reconstruction is one of the key steps in the gastrectomy surgery. But there are still many problems in standardization of prevention and management of complications after upper digestive tract reconstruction. Most postoperative complications should be related to stapling technique and perioperative management in upper digestive tract reconstruction after gastrectomy. Serious complications will increase health care costs, affecting the prognosis of patients, resulting in a medical dispute. Therefore, it is very important for surgeons to deal with complications after upper digestive tract reconstruction.
