Abstract With the characteristics of complicated etiologic factors, multiple complications and high mortality, severe acute pancreatitis (SAP) has been treated by all kinds of clinical management. There is awareness about the limitations of treatment of SAP in different periods. Changes of concept and improvement of efficacy are in tortuous style. Today, technology and medicine flourish with each passing day. The highlights of modern SAP therapy mainly are multidisciplinary and minimally invasive treatment.
