Abstract    Objective    To discuss the value and clinical significance of whole gastrointestinal barium meal and multistage barium remains X-ray in the diagnosis of the intestinal neuronal dysplasia diseases. Methods    The clinical data of 36 cases of whole gastrointestinal barium meal and multistage barium remains X-rays of suspected intestinal neuronal abnormalities in patients with constipation were analyzed retrospectively from June 2007 to October 2011 in Xiangyang Central Hospital. Results    Thirty cases were confirmed as congenital megacolon, Hirschsprung disease and congenital megacolon homologous and homologous Hirschsprung disease by surgery and pathological examination, which supported by the X-rays’ diagnosis. Conclusion    The whole gastrointestinal barium meal and multistage barium remains X-ray could provide important criterion for diagnosis of the intestinal neuronal dysplasia diseases, and had the advantages that could both reflect the function of gastrointestinal transit and morphology of gastrointestinal physiology, pathology. At least, it could be a supplement in diagnosing the diseases.
