Abstract Esophageal reflux, which would lower quality of life considerably, has a high incidence after surgical resection of adenocarcinoma of the esophagogastric junction(AEG). The incidence and severity of esophageal reflux, which has a close correlation with resection extent and reconstruction type, could be reduced with proper surgical procedures. Symptoms or complications of esophageal reflux could be reduced by proper drug therapy.
