Abstract Adenocarcinoma of the esophagogastric junction (AEG) located in the junction between the esophagus and proximal stomach is a special malignant lesion different from esophagus cancer and gastric cancer,which is accepted by most scholars. Indications and characteristics of perioperative nutrition support of AEG need the further analysis. Patients with AEG usually suffer from malnutrition and low immunity function. Reasonable perioperative nutritional supply is important for the recovery of AEG patients.
