Abstract The incidence of adenocarcinoma of esophagogastric junction (AEG) has increased dramaticly in the American and Europe. The invasion and metastasis of AEG are not only limited to the abdominal cavity, but also to the mediastinum, esophagus direction and diaphragmatic muscle. Fully understanding the characteristics of AEG will help to choose a reasonable treatment.
