Abstract    It is complex to give nutritional support for perioperative patients, who are often under stress with disorder of glucose metabolism. On the one hand, increased blood glucose levels are risk factors for the infection rate and mortality rate of the postoperative patients. On the other hand, tight glucose control may cause hypoglycemia and other adverse events. Nowadays, it is considered that optimal individual treatment plan based on the level of blood glucose, type of disease and potential complications, which may significantly improve prognosis for patients.
