Abstract In recent years, the techniques of endoscopic treatment and laparoscopic treatment develop rapidly. However, there are limitations when either technique is used alone. The laparoscopic and endoscopic cooperative surgery (LECS), which combines the advantages and makes up the deficiencies of the two techniques, has expanded the application field of minimally invasive surgery. Gastrointestinal stromal tumor is the most common mesenchymal tumor of gastrointestinal tract. The biological features of this tumor determine that LECS has mature theory foundation and great application prospect.
