Abstract Precise hepatectomy is a very hot and up-to-date topic in hepatobiliary surgery in the last 5 years, many surgeons are interested in this issue although there are different kinds of understanding and attitude to it. Precise hepatectomy much more concentrates on minimally invasive surgery techniques and less blood loss during operation, on fast track recovery and optimal outcome after surgery and Long-term survival. In a few words, precise hepatectomy presents development and improvement with advances and application of modern science and technology, with perfect performance and close cooperation of multi-disciplinary team treatment, which is a good example of translational medicine in liver surgery.
