Abstract     Objective     To detect the serum proteomic patterns in early liver metastasis of colorectal cancer patients by surface enhanced laser desorption/ionization time of flight mass spectrometry (SELDI- TOF-MS). Methods     The relative contents of serum proteins of 20 colorectal cancer patients and 20 early liver metastasis of colorectal cancer patients were detected by WCX2 chip and SELDI-TOF-MS between 2007 and 2009 in 202 Hospital of PLA. Results     At the M/Z values range from 2000u to 30 000u, the contents of two proteins (3774u and 11 851u) had significant difference in the two groups. Conclusions     SELDI-TOF-MS shows great potentiality for early liver metastasis of colorectal cancer in diagnosis and screening of tumor biomarkers, and deserves generalization.
