Abstract    Bile duct injury (BDI) is one of the most serious complications of laparoscopic cholecystectomy. And it would even endanger the patient's life if not promptly handled, or mishandled. Only a small part of the BDI could be found in time during surgery, and more of them are discovered until postoperative symptoms and signs appeared. Imaging technology could help the diagnosis of BDI and make sure of the site and type of injury, which is very important on making complete treatment . B ultrasonic and CT examination are the most commonly used diagnostic methods for suspected BDI because of their non-invasiveness. Other methods are mainly through the way of biliary tract imaging, showing the damage of bile duct, including cholangiography, or postoperative magnetic resonance cholangiopancreatography, percutaneous transhepatic angiography, endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography and so on.
