Abstract Metabolic diseases refer to a series of disorders caused by metabolic problems, which were traditionally treated by internal medicine. However, from the late 1980s, bariatric surgery broke through the tradition and many morbid obese patients combined with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) were cured. Nowadays, laparoscopic bariatric surgery, which is representative of surgical method that intervenes in metabolic diseases, has been widely used in clinical medicine. Nevertheless, the patients usually combine with other systematic diseases such as cardiovascular or respiratory disease. Respiratory disorders are frequently closed to the perioperative outcomes for the reason that the respiratory functions are usually poor before the operation, and have their own characteristics. So it is necessary for us to propose key on the facet.
