Abstract   As the complicated pathological changes of PTS, how to choose appropriate treatment has always been one of the tough issues in vascular surgery. It is very important to understand pathology, hemodynamic characteristics and special examinations such as antegrade venography and Doppler which will help to custom-design the treatments. The therapeutic aims include symptoms relief and life quality improvement. Attention should be paid to solve iliac venous obstruction by surgery or intervention. PTS preventing is more important than symptom relieving. Catheter-directed thrombolysis has incidence reducing effect of PTS after DVT.
