Abstract    Angiography and interventional treatment play a important role in treating gastrointestinal hemorrhage. The indications of angiography and interventional treatment includes uncertain and refractory alimentary tract hemorrhage. No absolute contraindication is for angiography and interventional treatment. Gastrointestinal arterial angiography uses Seldinger technique performed inferior and superior mesenteric angiography and celiac arteriogram. Portal phlebography may adopt the way of direct portal venepuncture or transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic stent-shunt. Gastrointestinal hemorrhage can be diagnosed according to digital subtraction angiography and performed interventional treatment composed of embolism, shunt and depressurization, vasoconstriction based on different bleeding reasons.
