Abstract Endoscopy is effective in diagnosing and treating of upper gastrointestinal hemorrhage. Currently, available endoscopic treatment modalities include injection, thermal and mechanical therapies, etc. Doctors should choose one method or combination of the methods based on pattern of the lesions. Proton pump inhibitor should be used early before surgery.
