Abstract    Incisional hernia is one of the common complications after  laparotomy. Surgical repair with a mesh is the main choice of treatment. There are many advantages in laparoscopic incisional hernia repair over open technique, including minimal invasiveness , lower complication rates,less discomfort ,shorter hospital stays and lower recurrence rates. However, with the increase of the case colume, more problems have come up such as recurrence, chronic pain, intestinal damage and seroma, approaches for some special incisional hernia,etc. This text aimed to show  the auther’s oppinions on how to address these issues.
