Abstract    Objective    To explore the optimal strategies by reviewing the experience of DSA-assisted surgical treatment of occluded prosthetic bypass of the ischemic lower-exermity. Methods    The clinical data of 12 cases of recurrent ischemic symptom of lower extremity due to prosthetic graft failure admitted from December 2004 to July 2006 in the Department of Vascular Surgery,Yuhuangding Hospital of Yantai City were analyzed retrospectively. All of them were treated under DSA . Thrombectomy was performed in 4 cases. Thrombectomy and anastomotic plasty were performed in 8 cases. Results    There was no case died during the perioperative peroid. All the cases were followed up for 2 years regularly. The patency rate of prosthetic graft was 75% ( 9 cases ), and the limb salvage was 91.7% ( 11 cases ).  Conclusion    DSA plays an important role in improving the graft patency and limb salvage by DSA-assisted surgical treatment of occluded prosthetic bypass of the ischemic lower-exermity
