Transluminal treatment of aortoiliac artery occlusions WU Dan-ming. Department of Vascular Surgery,People’s Hospital of Liaoning Province,Shenyang 110016,China Abstract With the development of transluminal technique and devices, and with surgeon’s and patients’ deepening awareness of aortoiliac transluminal treatment, transluminal technique has become the primary choice for aortoiliac occlusive diseases. The method includes acess selecting, recanalization of occlusions and revascularization.Technical success is associated with reasonable access, long sheath and capture devices usage, thrombolysis prior to revascularization, subintimal angioplasty and ultrasonic ablation. However, the future outcomes of transluminal technique require further follow-up.
