Neoadjuvant chemotherapy in patients with gastric stump carcinoma SHI Ying-qiang. Department of Abdominal Surgery, Cancer Hospital, Fudan University, Department of Oncology, Shanghai Medical College, Fudan University, Shanghai 200032, China Abstract The clinical feature of gastric stump carcinoma (GSC) is full of diversity and complexity because of different incidences in patients with GSC. Therefore, many doctors have diverse views involving in the diagnosis and therapy of the GSC. Currently, there exist no uniform guidline in the treatment of GSC patients and the prognosis of patients with GSC is relatively poor. Neoadjuvant chemotherapy is more and more widely applied in the treatment of advanced gastric cancer.
