Qualitative diagnosis and surgical decision of pancreatic head parenchmatous mass GUO Ke-jian. Department of General Surgery,the First Affiliated Hospital of China Medical University, Shenyang 110001,China Abstract Pancreatic carcinoma and focal inflammation have same morphous which appears as pancreatic head parenchmatous mass. The diagnosis can not be made only according to be tumor markers, B-ultrasound,CT, MRI and ERCP are principle characteristic imaging examination, the operation simultaneous cytologic and pathologic examination are the most precise methods for qualitative diagnosis. Operation simultaneous qualitative diagnosis is suitable for the patiens with biliary tract and duodenal obstruction. Comprehend analyzing of imaging examination is proper to the patients complain of epigastric discomfort with pancreatic head mass by imaging examination, and the final decision is made by the surgeon.
