Methods We collected and retrospectively analysed　the clinical data of 27 cases of duodenal trauma from September 1997 to May 2008 . Results 10 cases(37.04 %)got exactly diagnosis before operation ,15 cases (55.56%) got midoperative diagnosis and 2 cases missed diagnosis (7.41 %) ,24 cases (88.89%) were cured ,and 3 cases died(11.11 %) ,complications occurred in 10 cases (37.04 %) . Duodenal fistula was the main complication. Conclusion Simple and reasonable surgical procedure is very important for duodenal trauma.
