Extracorporeal hepatectomy and autotransplantation of residual liver for hepatic spaceoccupying lesionsMO Yiwo*，WANG Tianchao，SUN Zhiwei,et al.*The First People’s Hospital of YunNan Province,Kunming 650032,China Corresponding author:MO Yiwo,Email:lixuanmingabc_1@sina.com AbstractObjectiveTo summarige the experience of extracorporeal hepatectomy and autotransplantation of residual liver for hepatic spaceoccupying lesions.MethodsClinical data was retrospectively studied in 2 patients with hepatic spaceoccupying lesions treated by extracorporeal hepatectomy and hepatic antotransplantation in the First pepole’s hospital of Yun Nan province from 20070310-20080123,including 1 of angeioma and 1 of major hamartomas.ResultsTwo patients underwent the operation successfully without severe complications such as hepatic failure,renal failure.One patient was performed operation for active hemorrhea after operation 36h.The liver function tests showed normal results within 12 days after operation and the patients were discharged at 30～45days post operatively. One patient has survived for 11 months and the liver function was normal without new angeioma.Another patient was discharged with the normal liver function without any abnormal sign of imaging.ConclusionExtracorporeal hepatectomy and autotransplantation of residual liver is an effective approach for unresectable hepatic spaceoccupying lesions with routine method.
