Emphasis on standardized implementation of robotic thyroid surgery and construction of a full-process quality control system
Robotic thyroid surgery is a representative technique of intelligent, precise, and minimally invasive surgery and has been rapidly promoted in China in recent years. With the continuous iteration of robotic platforms and the widespread adoption of clinical practice, how to ensure radical tumor resection while reducing the risk of perioperative complications and meeting the demands of functional preservation and cosmetic outcomes has become an important issue in the standardized development of thyroid surgery. Standardized implementation of robotic thyroid surgery should focus on appropriate indications and contraindications, a tiered training system integrating competency certification and team collaboration, and quality control throughout surgeon credentialing, preoperative assessment, operative procedures, complication prevention, postoperative monitoring, and long-term follow-up. An integrated management model centered on “credentialing-training-surgery-follow-up” may help achieve homogeneous, precise, and sustainable development of robotic thyroid surgery. In the context of continuous integration of artificial intelligence, telesurgery, and cloud-based data analysis, establishing a reproducible, scalable, and auditable standardization system will be an important direction for improving the quality and safety of robotic thyroid surgery.
