Abstract    Intestinal complications of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) are common. While surgical therapy can be more definitive than medical treatment. Surgery, in most cases, is not a cure for IBD and postoperative complications and disease recurrence are common. Endoscopic therapy is a valid option for complications associated with IBD and colorectal surgery. Endoscopic treatment of stricture may space out or even help avoid the need for surgery. There are emerging data on endoscopic therapy for fistula, sinus and anastomotic leaks.
