Abstract: As an important part of facial morphological recognition and analysis，anatomical landmarks of facial soft tissue are widely used in stomatology and plastic and aesthetic surgery. The anatomical landmarks of facial soft tissue are affected by many factors and have great individual differences. Therefore，the precision of facial measurement and the accuracy of facial soft tissue marker location have been the hot research topic in related fields. From the most basic direct measurement of the human body in the early days，to two-dimensional image analysis，and now three-dimensional imaging，the determination methods of facial soft tissue anatomical landmarks have been constantly developed and updated. This paper mainly describes the different methods of measuring anatomical landmarks of facial soft tissue and their application in stomatology.
