Abstract:

As a small branch from the root canal，the lateral branch canal is often perpendicular to the root canal，penetrating the dentin and the cementum and leading to the periodontal ligament. As a part of the anatomical structure of the root canal，the lateral canal is closely related to the success rate of the root canal treatment. This review discusses briefly the formation and distribution of the anatomical structure of the lateral canal，imaging findings，cleaning and disinfection，the influence of its filling on the root canal and its relationship with periapical diseases.

摘要：

侧支根管为发自根管的细小分支，常与根管呈接近垂直角度，贯穿牙本质和牙骨质，通向牙周膜。侧支根管作为根管解剖结构的一部分，与根管治疗成功率有着密切的关系。文章就侧支根管的形成与分布、影像学表现、清理消毒、对根管充填的影响及与根尖周病的关系做一综述。
