Abstract    In blunt abdominal traumas，pancreas is rarely injured due to its anatomical localization when compared to other abdominal solid organes. Because of leakage of corrosive pancreatic juice from a disrupted duct and the consequent peripancreatic necrotic sepsis and coexisting injuries to other intra-abdominal organs，the trauma may causing higher morbidity and mortality. Optimal management and better outcome of pancreaticoduodenal injuries seem to be associated with shorter operative time and with simple technics in contrast to definitive surgical procedures. Damage control surgery (DCS) should be applied for pancreatlcoduodenal trauma as the managment principle, which can not only improve the treatment effect but also reduce the incidence of severe complication.
