Abstract: In recent years，artificial intelligence has been extensively utilized in the research of stomatology. Endodontics，as a significant branch of stomatology，has incorporated artificial intelligence in multiple aspects，such as tooth image segmentation，structure recognition，disease diagnosis，adjunctive treatment，and prognosis prediction，which has achieved satisfactory outcomes. Dentists have not only enhanced clinical work efficiency and reduced the workload but also improved the accuracy of diagnosis，which facilitates the customization of more reasonable treatment regimens for patients. Therefore，the advent of artificial intelligence may potentially serve as a significant impetus for the advancement of endodontics. Despite the broad application prospects of artificial intelligence in endodontics，several technical and ethical issues still need to be addressed prior to its widespread application in clinical practice. This article reviews the application and limitations of artificial intelligence in endodontics.
