    CHE Yan
    2021, 37(8): 798-802.  DOI: 10.19538/j.fk2021080103
    Abstract ( )
This study introduced current use and changes of short-acting reversible contraceptives (SARC),and described trends of the overall contraceptive prevalence and proportion of SARCs in China since 2010. Official documents show that the overall contraceptive prevalence is slightly declined, but the use of SARC use has increased rapidly, which is mainly manifested as the increased use of condoms. The use rate of oral pills and injectables is kept at a low level. A positive correlation between the rate of induced abortion and proportion of SARCs at provincial level was identified. It is recommended that China should continue its advocating and promotion of the use of long-acting contraceptives because the effectiveness of long-acting contraceptive measures is higher than that of SARC.

    2021, 37(8): 811-814.  DOI: 10.19538/j.fk2021080107
    Abstract ( )
Induced abortions include surgical abortion and medical abortion. There are a large number of induced abortions in China every year. Among them, the proportions of repeated abortions and young non-pregnant women are quite high. Induced abortions could cause sharp changes in endocrine, uterine and ovarian functions. Psychological problems including anxiety and depression may also occur after induced abortions. Therefore,we should pay attention to health care after induced abortions. Medical workers should give guidance to patients and their families in terms of postoperative diet, rest, hygienism, sex and psychological recovery. The postoperative follow-up should be valued. Estrogen and other methods to promote endometrial repair for women with high-risk factors of endometrial injury are recommended. Abortion complications such as incomplete abortion, infection and amenorrhea are best to be found in time. The development of post abortion care service(PAC)can promote the rehabilitation of women's psychological trauma, implement efficient contraceptive measures and eventually effectively maintain women's physical and mental health.
