Abstract    Pancreaticojejunal anastomosis is the most challenging digestive tract reconstruction. How to reduce postoperative pancreatic fistula（POPF） remains as focal point in clinic. The incidence of pancreatic fistula is still around 20% and no method was found to avoid pancreatic fistula completely. Understanding pancreaticojejunostomy should not be limited purely at mechanical connection level and more attention should be paid to the anastomotic biological healing. Understanding the biological healing condition of pancreaticojejunostomy correctly will draw out the best anastomosis method and minimize the incidence of POPF.
