Abstract    Pancreatic fistula（PF） remains one of the most common complications after pancreatectomy，with resulting abdominal infection and hemorrhage constituting the leading cause of mortality. Standardization of PF definitions and grading systems has substantial clinical implications on prevention and clinical study of postoperative pancreatic fistula. There is no consensus on the best technique or method to radically wipe out PF up to now. Sufficient preoperative assessment，meticulous attention to operative quality and perioperative care，choosing the most familiar surgery based on patient individual conditions and professionalization of surgical team will contribute to reduction of PF occurrence and severity.
