Abstract    Chronic venous disease (CVD) is a specific type of condition gradually developed in humans due to upright walking, characterized by persistence, progression, and long-term nature. Severe cases can significantly impact patients' quality of life and impose economic burdens on society. High-risk populations for CVD include individuals with genetic factors, pregnancy history, and aging, necessitating early screening and assessment to understand the severity and trends of the disease. Comprehensive intervention strategies for CVD primarily encompass medication, pressure management, surgical treatment, comprehensive prevention, and functional training. Personalized choices and timing control are essential based on different pathological and physiological mechanisms and venous hemodynamics. Vascular surgery, as an emerging surgical discipline, lacks a vascular medicine system. Many vascular diseases exhibit characteristics of chronic illnesses, making it crucial to establish the concept of chronic disease management for the development of the discipline. The chronic disease management approach for CVD needs to be built on a big data platform, utilizing modern network technology for high-risk population identification, early symptom screening, disease status assessment, rational treatment method selection, and timing control throughout the management process. This approach aims to enhance patients' self-management abilities and quality of life.
