Abstract: Vertical root fracture（VRF）is a non-carious chronic damage of hard dental tissue with poor prognosis，which often generates the extraction of natural teeth. It is relatively difficult to diagnose VRF accurately on account of the complex etiology and the lack of characteristics of clinical symptoms or early radiographic presentation. This article introduces the susceptible factors and clinical and radiographic features of VRF，so as to provide assistance and reference for clinicians to diagnose VRF effectively.

摘要： 牙根纵裂是一种治疗预后不佳的牙体硬组织非龋性慢性损伤，一旦发生常会导致天然牙丧失。其病因复杂，临床症状、体征、早期影像学表现等缺乏特异性，使得准确诊断牙根纵裂较为困难。文章对牙根纵裂的易感因素、临床表现、影像学特点等方面进行介绍，以期对临床医生有效诊断牙根纵裂提供帮助与借鉴。
