    Abstract ( )
Reconstruction of vertical bone defects presents a significant challenge in oral implantology, requiring surgical plans to be tailored based on the anatomical features of defect region. Based on clinical experience, this article analyzes the typical features of vertical bone defects in the maxillary anterior region, maxillary posterior region, and mandibular posterior region. It discusses the indications and key points of surgical procedures of the"autogenous bone priority" strategy and 3D-printed individualized titanium mesh-supported guided bone regeneration technique. The aim is to provide clinical guidance for selecting vertical bone augmentation regimens based on anatomical region, and to promote the development of a systematic diagnosis and treatment guideline for vertical bone augmentation.
